Hi everyone! I am really excited about blogging and want to make sure I”m posting a few times a week. I have decided to start posting more free printables, so if you follow me, you can make sure to get them!
This week I am focusing on budgeting! My hubby and I have recently started the envelope method of budgeting and it has been working great. Basically you have a set budget and separate money into specific envelopes. Some envelope examples would be grocery, kids, allowance, gas, household etc. Once the money is gone, it’s GONE! I love to buy all the random stuff I find at Target (who doesn’t?) so budgeting has been a wake up call for me. However, it was a much needed wake up call. We have already saved so much more money and feel great paying off some debt : )
I wanted to figure out a way to organize all our budgeting materials and decided we need a cute way to store all our paperwork (obviously!) and headed to the container store! I knew going in that I wanted file folders, hanging folders and something to store them in.
I picked up this adorable Synchronicity Stockholm Desktop File
Next I made some labels for the files and one for the front of my budget box. I used Avery address labels and pink ink : )
Here is a closeup of the first file. I put a gray file in each pink hanging file!
These are all the labels I created. I am still not 100% sure what I want to be filing, but figured this was a good start.
Ok! Time for the freebies : ) I created three sheets to start my new budgeting adventure and will add more as I need them.
The first is a Monthly Budget sheet. We use this to track our spending each month. Click the picture to get your free copy! I provided both a pink and gray sheet to choose from.
The second is a Debt Tracker sheet. Use this to track any debts/credit cards you may be paying : ) Click the picture to get your freebie!
The last sheet is a Bill Tracker sheet. We use this to check off our bills each month. It is crazy to see how much you spend in a year ahhh! Click the picture to get yours!
Woohoo!! I hope you enjoy your freebies and let me know how they are working. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or suggestions
